Who We Are
Vulgoose Racing brings the precision, teamwork, and improvement mindset of emergency medicine to the race track. We compete in iRacing endurance events not just to win, but to decompress, grow, and prove that the same skills that make great paramedics also make great racers.
For us, racing is a place to leave the weight of the shift behind, push each other to get faster, and laugh while doing it. We take the work seriously. We never take ourselves too seriously.
We communicate, back each other up, celebrate together, and crash together.
Telemetry, lap data, and debrief analysis. Good decisions come from good information.

Down a driver with Jakob out, Sam and Goose ran it two-up with Goose Jr. calling strategy from the wall — juggling four and five data streams at once for the full six hours. Qualifying 15th, the pair worked forward all race and pushed hard in the closing laps to close on 3rd, crossing the line within 20 seconds of the podium. The number that mattered most: the car rolled into the pits at the finish with 0.1 gallons left in the tank. No wrecks, no penalties, clean all day.

New Crew Chief Goose Jr. made her pit-wall debut running a strategy overhaul — for the first time this season, the qualifier started the race. Goose opened clean and later ran a team-record 1:46.499. When rain hit in the final hour with the model calling for a pit stop, Junior held her driver out on track. The gamble paid off: four positions gained in the closing laps, and the team's first endurance finish without a drive-through penalty.

Sam took front-end damage before the green flag even flew, in a formation-lap pileup he never pitted for. The team clawed back anyway — Jakob fuel-saved into a stint extension, and Goose strung together twelve straight sub-2:04 laps to carry the #911 to 8th. With two hours to go and a top-ten finish in reach, a spinning competitor's car hit the Porsche's rear at the hairpin, dropping the team from 9th to 48th and costing a 47-minute repair. They fought back to 38th by the checkered flag.

Starting 48th after a qualifying disaster, Vulgoose Racing climbed to 9th in the GT3 class — finishing as the top Porsche entry among 17 factory-backed teams. Goose delivered 19 consecutive 1:46 laps. Jake melted a tire so badly Michelin's R&D team took it for study.

In their first-ever endurance race, Vulgoose Racing qualified 26th and fought back to 15th — an 11-position gain over 10 grueling hours at Road Atlanta. Goose posted the team's fastest lap in the final stint, on worn tires, in the dark.

After three consecutive weeks holding the team's fastest lap record in Daytona testing, 17-year-old Jakob Vulcheff was promoted from Crew Chief to full-time driver ahead of schedule. J.T. stepped in as Crew Chief.
